Reminds me a lot of old flash games and android games I used to play when I was younger. Good nostalgia.
It isn't much but there's a lot of potential for this concept. I like that you kept gameplay pretty simple and clear on how it works. Gameplay however got a bit repetitive after a while since there isn't much variation on obstacles and mechanics; it would be cool to see mechanics where you could break through and dash through walls and more. The controls felt a little bit too "stiff" and a bit difficult to control, especially since the hitboxes were bigger than I expected.
Overall not bad! It'll be cool to see what you do in the future.
This was pretty funny and fun to play. For a first platformer I think this is quite good. I like the artwork especially for the thumbnail, and the controls feel overall pretty good; you could add a bit of acceleration and deceleration when the player moves/stops, gives a more natural feel (Though I can't really say that when over half of my older games were like that lmao). This would also be super cool with things like powerups/items and more enemy variety.
Good job on this, I really liked it!
Not too bad, of course there's a bunch of things that could be fixed/improved that you already are probably aware of. I'd love to see this expanded upon in the future though.
Yeah, I'm not exactly someone who is active on newgrounds anymore because I don't really update or add my new games here, but I will try to fix these current problems here on this game. Thanks for the review! (Updated the game so hopefully your experience is better this time round!)
The idea of it is pretty interesting; you could 'spice' it up a bit if you add some interesting mechanics. For example, the circle can shrink every 10 or so seconds and give the player less room to operate, therefore challenging the player more.
I have no clue how to use javascript so this is pretty cool to me.
The circle does shrink slowly over time, but it's a bit subtle. I've already considered making a followup with more off-the-wall game mechanics, but this was just a simple project to get me out of a small rut. Thanks for the feedback!
This is pretty cool for a Scratch game, I like the style you're going for and the art is simplistic and does the job well. There's a few bugs here and there such as weird dialogue when you click too fast and the game "ending" after finishing one customer, but overall it's not bad; maybe you could polish it up in the future.
Good job on the first submission!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I fixed the bugs, and added a new item.
Funny plot lol.
This is a good start for a platformer, but there's quite a bit to work on. The player character has a bit of a large collider and it's a bit difficult to move between platforms. The player sprite also should probably flip when changing directions. I also feel like controls should be tighter as well, shorter and quicker jumps and less acceleration+decceleration.
Finally some polishing could include adding music, sound effects, particles, etc. Instead of restarting the game completely maybe have a death animation or game over screen.
Still, good start!
Thanks. It's a finished product though and I have no plan on updating it, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it!
An interesting concept, but it hasn't been pulled off too well. The music takes some time before playing and it lacks a main menu, sound effects, player feedback, etc.
However I feel that this concept has a lot of potential, you could definitely expand on this.
Eh maybe. I've been working on my commercial game project and I don't have time to update or expand it, but glad you still liked it.
Art is from pre-made assets, some more original artwork would be nice. Music, a death animation, main menu, all these tiny bits would make this much better.
That being said the controls are relatively tight, so I don't have much complaint there.
